8. Attach A Flamethrower To Your Car, South Africa
In South Africa, you can find a product called the “Blaster”—a flamethrower that shoots out 20 meters (65 feet) of fire, custom designed to be fitted onto your automobile. The blast doesn’t damage your paint, sends out a burst of fires on either side of your vehicle and, according to advertising. It’s also totally legal. South Africa was getting each year, and carjackings about 13,000 so the state lawfully allows killing anyone attempting to break into your automobile. The inventor, though, insists that it likely won’t really kill anyone— they would be only blinded by it. The Blaster came out in 1998 and has since been taken off the marketplace, but that’s not because it’s not legal. There simply wasn’t demand that is enough. Anyone discovered enough could likely still pick one up that is secondhand — or begin an automotive flamethrower business of their own.
